My husband and I are very family focused. So we love to have time to focus only on us. We try to take weekend getaways a few times a year. It’s always a guilty pleasure because we have such a good time together and it never fails for us to say the kids would love to see this or go to this event. That being said we relish our alone time with each other!
I love to sing…..in the car! Singing along with the radio relaxes me and makes me smile. No one knows that I do this because I sang once in front of my four year old and she told me “momma your giving me a headache”! I knew then the world was not ready for my talent.
White is the color that appeals to me most. White is an achromatic color, a color without hue. It reminds me of a blank slate, ready for any number of possibilities. That’s how I view every day, it’s a fresh start. You never know what the day will bring and that can be very exciting! Each new day with my family is a blessing and together we are thankful for the opportunities it brings.
I participate in Ironman triathlon, 70.3 miles of swimming, biking, and running. It’s not only challenging physically but mentality. I was never an athlete when I was younger and my husband likes to joke that it took him nine years to convince me to try running! Now, not only do I compete in triathlon but it’s something I share with my husband and even use triathlon as a fundraiser for my platform.
